My name is Roosevelis Gordones. I am a young Venezuelan, still in Venezuela, and an entrepreneur with many goals and dreams to accomplish.

My story
I am a 22 year old twin sister of Miliarny Gordones, daughters of Roosevelt and Marbelis.
I love pets, puppies and kittens, video games, and beauty 🐶🐱🎮💅. In fact, I have a passion that I discovered thanks to the 2020 pandemic: beauty, specifically manicures and pedicures.
I started studying tourism at university in 2019 in the city of Caracas, where I have lived since I was born. I have never travelled outside my country.
Due to the 2020 pandemic, I had to interrupt my studies, as did my sister. Unfortunately, the university where we studied did not have (and still does not have) an infrastructure that would allow distance learning, so many of my classmates lost their semesters, changed universities or were forced to study at a private university.
In my case, my parents didn't have enough money, so I couldn't continue studying, so due to the economic situation and to help with my household expenses, I decided to start a small business, doing hand and foot repairs for my neighbours.
And it didn't go badly at all!
So much so that in 2021 I decided to start a serious business and create my own brand of manicure and pedicure services. I created Karin Beauty Studio, through which I offer my services, in my home and at home.
In an attempt to professionalize myself, I did my first training in 2023, at Magaly Nails Academy, where I obtained my first certificate as "Salon Expert".
Growing professionally
Unfortunately, in my country, Venezuela, everything is in crisis: the economy, social, political... even education!
I would like to resume my studies in tourism, but I think: What is the point of studying tourism in a country where this activity is not even encouraged, just to have a degree but not be able to practise it or work freely?
That's why I've started to do some research to study manicure and pedicure professionally, and these are the options:
Nail Master with international university certificate. Courses start in May.
Intensive Nail Art courses. Courses start in June.
Advanced Manicure Course. Courses start in June and July.
Master in Nail Sculpting. Courses start in April and May.
Advanced nail courses. Courses start in May.
I selected several academies because there are several courses, and of different levels and specialities. By doing several of them combined I can have a very complete professional profile.
But as you can see, all the options are outside my country, in Spain. They are internationally recognised certified courses, which is my dream! And the courses are about to start already!
That is why I have taken the difficult decision to leave my home, my country, and my mum, despite her health situation, to develop professionally so that I can help my family even more.

So, with a lot of fear, but with a lot of faith, I have decided to create this crowdfunding campaign to raise the necessary funds to go and study in Spain and grow professionally, something that is practically impossible in my country.

My plan is to come to Spain to study, and once I finish the first courses, to start working in the field, to be able to help my mother economically.
