We continue to make improvements to Zingo Mobile, but we also listened to the community who wanted a desktop version, here are the changes in our latest update.
Zingo Mobile
Basic and Advanced Mode
If you've ever wondered which button to tap to start a wallet, that's a thing of the past, the default Basic Mode of Zingo! now automatically generates an address the first time you start the wallet.
Some features of Basic Mode:
- Fewer options in the menu
- Starts in the Receive tab
- History tab is enabled when funds are received
- Send tab is enabled when there are funds to spend
- No legacy addresses, use only unified addresses
The first time you receive funds, Zingo! notifies you to save the seed phrase and enables an option in the menu to view it, save your seed phrase safely so you can restore your wallet.
If you already have a seed phrase and want to restore your wallet, open the menu and click Restore Wallet from the menu in Basic Mode, or activate Advanced Mode and use the Open Another Wallet option.
Enable Advanced Mode
If you are an advanced user, go to Menu > Settings to enable Advanced Mode, save the changes, and enjoy more options.
If you use the wallet in advanced mode, when you upgrade Zingo! Wallet, the previously selected mode will be retained.
Snackbars and alerts
We now alert you of some actions through new snackbars that are stacked and displayed when you perform a transaction, copy an address, copy a TXID, among other actions.
We also changed the behavior of buttons that required several taps by incorporating native alerts; now you only need to tap the button once and confirm from the alert, where we provide clear information about the action to confirm.
Design changes
We made some changes to the design of the app header, changed the ZEC icon in the available balance, reduced the size of the icons and logo and also adjusted the button texts.
We will continue to make adjustments to the design as we develop more features.
Zingo PC
This is the first release of the desktop version of Zingo, a wallet where you can customize the server, select the network type, add contacts with unified addresses to your address book, use paid URIs and much more.
