This morning I was perusing the drop down menu on the desktop version of Gopulse.com, and noticed that they have added a privacy dapp, the ZKZX dapp, to use with PulseChain wallets. In effect, this ZKZX dapp can create a way to privately transfer value (PLS) between PulseChain wallets.
The difference between Zcash shielding and this dapp's shielding is that the involved wallet addresses are still transparent, or in other words, not encrypted. So, if a PulseChain wallet interacts with this dapp, then its wallet address can be blacklisted So, if your going to utilize this dapp, use multiple fresh metamask wallets to test it out; naturally, at first, with the lowest amount of PLS.
Historically wallet addresses involved with dapps similar to this ZKZX dapp have been sanctioned by tyrannical governments, including the United States. This blacklisting risk highlights the advantage of Zcash shielding over using Zero Knowledge proofs on top of non-private blockchains, such as PulseChain. With Zcash shielding there's no wallet addresses to sanction (unless the transaction involves transparent addresses). On a purely shielded transaction, that doesn't involve transparent addresses, the Zcash blockchain explorer says "Shielded" and "Shielded" in the Senders and Recipients sections.
There's many instances where you could find the ZKZX dapp beneficial, but one example is sending PLS to your friends. Suppose you want to send one of your friends a million PLS, but don't want your friend to know about your secret Lambo portfolio. So, what you do is send the million PLS to a fresh wallet address. Then connect this fresh wallet address to the ZKZX dapp, and then deposit the million PLS to the privacy pool in the ZKZX dapp, and then later on (preferably about a week for ultimate privacy), withdraw your million PLS from the ZKZX dapp to your friends wallet address.
I still need to test it out, so I can't vouch for how good it works, so use at your own risk. I just wanted to let people know that it's available.
