Be careful when sending bitcoins to your friends!
Sending bitcoins the old fashioned way (without Lightning on Bitcoin layer 1), to your friends from your personal BTC stash is not wise or cost efficient.
The one main reason to hold Bitcoin is because it's a good long term store of value, so if you want to hold Bitcoin then just hold it in your personal Bitcoin address on a hardware wallet or something similar, and then when you want to sell it, just send it to an exchange. You shouldn't do actual small transactions with it, these days there's Bitcoin Lightning for cheap and instant Bitcoin payments, and Zcash for private payments. Both are much quicker than Bitcoin layer 1.
Sending bitcoins is like tweeting your bank account balance everytime you pay a bill or buy something with your bank account or bank debit card. Bitcoin Lightning adds a little bit more privacy, but there's still a lot of incriminating information in the Bitcoin Lightning transactions.
In reality, you and your friends should be using shielded Zcash (ZEC ticker symbol) for most of your crypto transactions. By using your shielded ZCash wallet your transactions are thousands of times cheaper and private.
One more benefit of Zcash, because Zcash transactions are so cheap (relative to Bitcoin) is that you can send secure and private messages to your friends without getting censored or blacklisted.
In a world where people can get cancelled for anything, Bitcoin addresses can get cancelled or blacklisted, but with Zcash there is no address to blacklist because the shielded address is encrypted (shielded). If your Bitcoin address gets blacklisted then your bitcoins are no longer as valuable as they were before. Also, you can't spend them anytime soon because exchanges might just confiscate them and/or report you to the authorities.
Interestingly, there's some websites that allow you to post messages with your Zcash wallet. In countries where you can be denied basic rights, based on an unpopular online comment; being able to communicate (and transact) online privately with a Zcash wallet can be very important for ones livelihood.
If, after explaining to your friends that they should just get a Zcash wallet, and for some weird reason they still only want layer-1 BTC then you should suggest that they download the muun.com wallet to receive your bitcoin payment, because they will be able to seamlessly accept Bitcoin Lightning payments and Bitcoin Layer-1 payments in the same wallet balance. This way you can send them BTC on Lightning and then if they want to send those bitcoins to a hardware wallet then they can do that, and in the process THEY pay the crazy Bitcoin fees.
Secondly if they're extra stubborn and don't want to accept Bitcoin Lightning or Zcash, you should deposit some shielded ZEC to an exchange, such as Coinbase.com to convert your ZEC to BTC and then send bitcoins from the exchange to the friends' address. In this way you don't send your friends, the eccentric gift of, your personal bitcoin balances and transaction history, along with their requested bitcoins.
The bitcoins sent from the exchange exclude all of your personal transaction history because exchanges send to multiple people (hundreds of Bitcoin addresses) in one big transaction to save on fees and reduce the load on the Bitcoin network. The result of sending from the exchange is that if your friend tries to figure out how much Bitcoin you have by looking at the Bitcoin explorer, they will just be figuring out how much Bitcoin the crypto exchange has.
Also, with today's Bitcoin fees being $20+, you can't send bitcoins cost efficiently without waiting for weeks for the transaction to process (ask me how I know LOL). With exchanges like Strike.me, you can deposit to Strike.me with Bitcoin Lightning (for almost no fee), and then have Strike.me send the bitcoins to your friend's layer 1 Bitcoin address for free within 24 hours, which is nice for when you want to send them bitcoins for their birthday, Christmas, or whatever; and they're probably not going to need to spend those bitcoins immediately.
As you can see, it's not wise or cost efficient to send bitcoins directly to your friends these days. If you want to show your friends how much ZEC you have you could always, temporarily, send your shielded balance to your Transparent address and then reshield your balance shortly afterwards, and send them a link to the Zcash explorer with your transparent address. Also, for businesses accepting shielded ZEC that need auditability, you can give the auditor viewing keys to the things they want to audit.
