Over the past few months (from November until now), my life has changed unexpectedly. What started as a severe, persistent illness turned into a diagnosis of infective endocarditis, a serious heart infection that damaged my mitral valve. Doctors confirmed the valve is leaking badly, and I now require open-heart surgery to replace it.
This surgery is essential and scheduled soon, with a payment deadline of February 24th. While I do have insurance, it does not cover everything. The total cost is £28,000, and I’ve personally managed to raise around £17,000 so far, including insurance contributions but I still need help covering the remaining amount.
