Art for Privacy!
In my numerous philosophical debates with friends and colleagues, I have always come to a common point: music fulfills various roles in human and social development.
Music encourages us when we are at a party, invites us to dance, amuses us, entertains us, creates optimal environments for socializing. But it also helps us control thoughts when meditating, it serves as an emotional regulator, it helps us to know ourselves.
The art of music as a means of expression also allows us to give transcendence to what we carry inside and that makes us up. When a musician composes a song, he is capturing his vision of the world there, his culture, his ideas, his criteria, his feelings, his knowledge, his desires, his thoughts, a piece of his being. The artist is not always aware of this, but works of art say a lot about their author and reveal their essence on a subtle plane that can be perceived by souls willing to do so.
This is the main reason why, when I talk about art, I always go a step further and say that art in a deeper sense also serves as a powerful and effective tool to transmit ideas and knowledge.
This gives the artist a certain degree of responsibility because the message he transmits can penetrate the depths of people influencing their way of thinking and their actions.
This is how I have lived the art of music for the last 12 years of my 22-year career as a musician.
As an example of this, let me share an anecdote:
In 2019 I toured Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, in South America, together with the Magna Fraternitas Universalis Foundation. This tour was called "Art for Tolerance." During this tour I studied and designed a repertoire with music that exemplified or promoted the importance of tolerance in human relations and allowed me to explain this concept to the public. In this way, these concerts were not just another mass event, but were events where there was a space for thinking. At the same time, I was contacting other musicians in the towns I was visiting and invited them to make music with me as a demonstration that art can unite people, however distant they may seem.

Then incredible things happened. I saw other artists how they were encouraged to start projects so that their communities raised their awareness around local problems that affected them.
Although my impact was small and local in scope, this experience allowed me to understand the power of music to effectively communicate ideas and messages.
What would society be if the most recognized and followed artists in the world spoke openly about the importance and transcendence of privacy? Perhaps there would be a greater interest in protecting our data and our identity both in the real and digital world.
Unfortunately these artists are busy with other matters, without the intention of judging since some of them use their influence in very noble matters. But those of us who make life in the Zcash ecosystem can call our artist friends, be they musicians, dancers, poets or painters and invite them to the movement that is born today as "Art for Privacy" where they can train and speak in their works of art on this topic that will become more important as the digital world gains even more ground in our lives.
Usually I put my music where my words are, so as a first step for this movement I want to announce that I am starting a series of musical compositions on the subject of privacy, taking this as a mission. The titles I'm using for my compositions are: Zebra, Privado, CypherPunks and La Ceremonia.
This creative process will take time as I must share this project along with my responsibilities in life and my commitments already made to work for a living, however I will share the progress. I hope that in the near future this will become an album. And I also hope that more artists will join this movement. It will be interesting to see how far this can go and the direction this can take.
