6th Club Zcash Querétaro Meetup.

On July 5, 2026, we held the 6th meetup of the Club Zcash in Querétaro, Mexico.
This time, we screened a documentary about Executive Order 6102, signed on April 5 ("Satoshi’s birthday") of 1933, which prohibited private ownership of gold by U.S. citizens in the form of coins, bullion, or certificates, forcing them to surrender it to the Federal Reserve. This served as the perfect starting point for a discussion on how privacy-focused cryptocurrencies like Zcash make it much more difficult to confiscate funds, thanks to their built-in privacy features—unlike fully transparent protocols.
Interestingly, none of the attendees were familiar with this executive order, but they quickly understood the importance of having “hard money” that is truly unconfiscatable.
Check out our summary video on X.
We also addressed questions about ZEC’s price action, shared updates on zecmap, discussed the recent Orchard vulnerability, sent ZEC to a new member using the Zodl wallet, and talked about Zcon7, which will take place this year in Cancún, Mexico.
The 6th meetup was a great success and marks the beginning of a new phase for the Club Zcash Querétaro, with several new initiatives and guests that we’ll be sharing with the entire community soon. ;-)

I want to thank Zcash en Español for supporting and promoting this initiative.
I’ve been a member of the Zcash community since 2022, and since 2024 I’ve been running the Zcash Club Querétaro. Feel free to send me a shielded memo. Thank you!
