Zcash Ghana is organizing its first-ever physical meetup in Accra on Thursday, July 31st, 2025 — a pivotal step for our brand-new community. This meetup will bring together privacy advocates, developers, businesses, students, and blockchain-curious individuals to explore the power of Zcash and financial privacy in Africa.
Despite our enthusiasm and planning, we’ve not yet received any donations, and we still need your help to make this event happen.
We are now accepting ZEC donations via a shielded address (by default) to uphold the same privacy principles that Zcash was built upon.

Swag Production (T-Shirts, Jotters)
Refreshments for 50 attendees
Zcash awareness materials (banners, flyers, printed guides)
Community outreach to attract local participants, especially businesses, students and young professionals
Why This Meetup Matters
This physical meetup was inspired by the strong interest shown during our maiden X-Space event, "Financial Privacy and the Power of Zcash: Why it Matters for Africa", which drew an amazing 212 live listeners. (You can read the event recap via this Medium article.)
That response made it clear that Zcash is highly relevant in Ghana—and there’s an opportunity right now to engage, educate, and build.
