Last Friday 6/26, the Barcelona community gathered for a unique event dedicated to sovereign technology and decentralization. It was an intense, high-energy afternoon where local privacy advocates connected to debate the future of the ecosystem, answer key technical questions, and explore the tools redefining financial privacy.
Event Highlights & Special Guest
The absolute highlight of the evening was a surprise guest for all attendees: Edickson González joined us in person. As a core member of Zingo Labs and the Zcash en Español core team, his insights brought incredible technical value to the session.
Edickson led a hands-on workshop teaching attendees how to master Zingo, the local-first wallet that is transforming user experience. Participants not only learned how to configure and manage their funds in a completely shielded manner but also got an exclusive sneak peek at advanced features coming in future app updates.
Education, Trivia, and Cypherpunk Debate
Education and entertainment went hand in hand. We tested the community's knowledge with interactive trivia games, which served as a dynamic way to review core privacy concepts. Afterward, we opened the floor for a deep-dive panel discussion on the current state of Zcash and recent global events surrounding the privacy ecosystem. We analyzed current adoption hurdles, real-world use cases, and how the cypherpunk ethos remains the primary driving force behind defending digital sovereignty.
Building Local Community
To wrap up the meetup, we shared snacks and drinks during a relaxed networking session where new local alliances were formed.
