It's been 1 year already!
It's been 1 year since I launched this proposal to have a Zcash website in our language, Spanish, and a lot of things have happened.
- We went through a bear market from which we seem to be coming out.
- We are going through a crisis like FTX and other exchanges.
- The race for CBDCs and crypto regulation continues.
But at Zcash, despite all this, we have had an exceptional year. Ywallet came to bolster the battery of Zcash wallets, with great features and updates in the face of unified directions, and recently Zingo! joined the family.
So what has happened to the Zcash website this year?
Let's take a look at a summary:
- We reached the milestone of 2000 new visitors! That means that 2000 new people became interested or read something about Zcash. 2000 new people, potential Zcash users who have most likely already joined our Spanish community. Although this represents 5.6 new people per day, and it is a seemingly low number, these are people who most probably didn't know anything about Zcash before.
- In this period of time we have published 35 posts on different topics about Zcash: educational, informative, tutorials and opinion. And we have a staff of 7 collaborators (myself included), including a graphic designer and an editor, who contribute monthly content for the web, and for the community's social networks, as well as its different events.
- Zcash in Spanish reached 50 new countries around the world! But among the Spanish speaking countries that now read us and know about Zcash, are: Argentina, Spain, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Mexico, Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Guatemala, Dominican Republic and Uruguay. I was not wrong when I said in my proposal that the website would be a way for Zcash to reach new frontiers, even in Africa and Asia they read us!
- New search criteria. Thanks to Zcash now appearing on Google in Spanish, there are keywords that are new search criteria, among them: Free2Z, Zcash, Zcash price, how to buy Zcash, Zcash price, Zcash memes, among others. This means that people perform searches in English related to Zcash, thanks to our website.
- Traffic to the Zcash in Spanish website has 4 main sources, which are: direct traffic (people who came to the website because of a link we shared with them), social (through social media), organic (people who came by some special keyword), and referrals (people who came thanks to the mention of third parties). This shows that now more people know about Zcash, through different ways.
Undoubtedly, it has been a spectacular first year, both for me, as a Zcasher and cryptoenthusiast, as well as for the website and for all of us in the community who are collaborators, and drive the website. Collaborative work, with the guidance of @Yoditar, has been key to achieve.
But it's not all roses, we need your help!
Remember that the website requires annual maintenance to cover the cost of hosting, domain and plugin licenses, and we don't have those resources.
The total amount required is 300 USD.
That's why we turn to you, and to all the Zcashers who read us all over the world, to help us cover this amount before the renewal date which is 5/15/2023.

Once we raise this money, we will do a live session in the Zcash in Spanish community, to make memory and account of this first year and see in detail all these great numbers that we have obtained thanks to the support of all of you.
