September has been a month packed with events. The frenzy surrounding Zcash—its price and the privacy narrative—is just getting started. It’s crazy!
And we saw it at our most recent Meetup, the tenth on our list.
The Solana Family and the Zcash Barcelona Club, driving adoption.
Our meetup was part of the side events of the European Blockchain Convention, and we held it just one day before that massive event, which strategically allowed us to speak to more people about the importance of privacy and how Zcash technology protects us all.
It was an opportunity for privacy enthusiasts—who are already regulars at Club Zcash Barcelona—to meet La Familia de Solana, but also for Solana enthusiasts to learn about what we do at the Club and at Zcash en Español.
There were trivia games, other games, and giveaways of merchandise, but above all: lots of networking!
At recent meetups, we’ve started to notice that many developers have been coming and asking us if there’s any funding or grant program within Zcash. We’ve told everyone about the Zcash Community Grants and the ways they can receive funding, how to apply, and how to connect with the community. This has led us to consider the following:
- Maybe we should host a meetup dedicated solely to discussing the Zcash Foundation and the Zcash Community Grants
- Maybe we should seriously consider organizing a hackathon
I’m firmly convinced that when an interesting development project based in Spain manages to secure a grant, it will spark an explosion of more and more projects to come and developers eager to discover Zcash.
I believe our efforts as a Club should be directed toward that goal. What do you think, dear reader?
Overall, it was a very enjoyable meetup, where we continued to keep the energy and adoption of Zcash high.
Here are some photos from that day:
