I am writing this 2 weeks after my return to Venezuela, after the fantastic experience that was for me to be present at the Zcon4.
And although I already left a thank you message on Twitter (X), this short text serves to express in a broader and more formal way my heartfelt thanks to the organizers of such a great activity.
First of all, I have to deeply thank the Zcash Foundation for having approved Aura and me the scholarship to attend the Zcon4. I know that the Foundation is no stranger to our sad and difficult Venezuelan reality, so without their help it would have been simply impossible for us to attend.
The members of the foundation that I met, ALL of them, were kind, accessible and friendly. Very approachable, even though there was a language barrier, which was never felt. Thank you, Jack Gavigan, Dan, Jason McGee.
And this leads me to thank immensely Danika Delano and her team, D and R. Danika was at all times attentive to me, my booking, my tickets, my trip and stay. And during the Zcon I can fully testify that she was always on top of everything. Thank you Danika, you're a tough one!
And of course, I have to thank all the community members with whom I interacted with my poor English: with the members of the Zcash Brazil community, Michael, Vito, Vitor and Samara; with the members of the Audiovisual Club, Ryan and company, they were always empathetic and ready to share knowledge; to the members of the ZecHub, from Ian, to zksquirrel, everyone!
To people from the Electric Coin Company, that one in Latin America may perceive as unreachable or distant, thank you, Paul Brigner, Josh Shihart, Nate Wilcox, Zooko!
To the ambassadors, Madison, Michael, Tim, ZecMec, you are my new family! I personally think you have been the right choice to carry the Zcash message in each of your countries. Special mention to Yoditar, who I know in Venezuela, and although he was not physically at the Zcon4, he was omnipresent in everything Aura and I were doing.
Thanks to the Latin Americans I met and talked to: Pacu and René (Pitmutt). Undoubtedly, we strengthened bonds of brotherhood and collaboration.
Thanks to so many other people I met, such as Paul Puey (Edge), Michelle Lai, Luca, Daniel Benarroch, Skylar, Birdify and Cryptonativa (the Free2Z team), Naomi Brockwell, among many others I met while networking.
Attending Zcon4 not only reaffirmed my commitment to Zcash, to ECC, to the Zcash Foundation and to the good global Zcash community, but to freedom, privacy and human dignity - now more than ever!
As a beneficiary of a Minor Grants, thanks to which Zcast, the Zcash Podcast in Spanish, exists, I am aware of the responsibility it means to bring the message of Zcash technology to more and more people.

The Zcon, and Zcash are wonderful spaces of learning, knowledge and freedom that more people should experience in their lives. Certainly, the future is not written, but after the Zcon4 I am more convinced of how I want mine.
