Greetings, global Zcash community!
I write these lines full of much excitement, because I want to share with you something that happened to me just 2 days ago.
In case you don't know me or you don't know it, I am a free software and blockchain technology enthusiast, I am dedicated to generate educational content and to give courses, talks and trainings about cryptocurrencies and about Zcash since 4 years ago. Since 2022 I am an active member of the Zcash community in Spanish, and of course, of the global community. I am active on YouTube, Twitter, Telegram, LinkedIn, Discord and other digital spaces, teaching, guiding and helping people to adopt the use of this powerful technology.
2 days ago I was contacted by the European Blockchain Convention, an organization that since 2018 organizes conferences, conventions and events across Europe to boost the adoption of blockchain technology; and they do this through guest speakers and networking sessions, where investors, developers, entrepreneurs and personalities from the technological and financial world converge, to meet and establish alliances, contacts, collaborations, etc.

The interesting thing is that they contacted me and told me that they were interested in my attendance to the conference in Barcelona, Spain, since they had seen my trajectory and contents in Zcast, talking about Zcash and privacy, and educating about the topic. In addition to this, they told me that they would like me to do a coverage and review of the event, since they saw what we did from Zcast last year at the Zcon4, also in Barcelona.
For this, they agreed to give me 2 free tickets, one for me and one for Aura Brito, valued at 730 euros each (in total, 1460 euros for the 2 tickets).
Imagine my surprise, joy and excitement!
This means that yes, it has served all the effort in making Zcast, in educating, in talking about Zingo, Ywallet, Zashi, privacy, and all the things we promote from Zcash.
In addition to the European Blockchain Convention, Aura and I were invited to the Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) 2024; an event that promotes networking and targets companies and initiatives in the digital and technology industry, mobility, sustainability and talent.
This invitation also happened because they saw on LinkedIn (in fact, that's where they contacted us) the networking events we have organized, and the trainings and masterclasses about Zingo that we have given.
Also, and this is crazy, because all these invitations happened spontaneously and unexpectedly, Aura and I were invited to the Madrid Tech Show, a technology fair dedicated to technology, cyber security, AI and marketing.
For this event we were also given 2 tickets.
Great things have happened to me as a freelancer and crypto enthusiast since I've been part of the Zcash family, and I can only be grateful to all of you for supporting me!
But although I have the invitations and paid tickets to these 3 great events, I face a hard reality: I am in Venezuela, and I don't have the resources to afford the stay and tickets to move to Spain to represent Zcash and Latin America, and to leave very high what we promote from Zcash: privacy, dignity of people, but above all, freedom!
That is why I am asking you, the global community, to help me, Aura and I, to continue representing the spirit and essence of Zcash in these events. Your contributions would be destined to cover airfare and lodging expenses for the duration of the events.
I personally believe that, although we do not officially have an ambassador program within Zcash, Aura and I have enough experience and knowledge of Zcash to make a serious, dignified and formal representation of our community, to invite people to know Zcash in networking events, to contact the ECC or the ZF, which could translate into alliances, agreements, and more momentum and visibility for Zcash, which is what we all want at the end of the day.
We already know that we have managed to make Zcash visible, because that is why we have been contacted and invited to these events. Let's take advantage of this new opportunity that is opening up for us!
Besides, I personally think that the world is in turmoil, and going through many, many challenges on all continents, challenges that mostly involve empowering people about privacy, financial security and freedom, it's time for Zcash! I think this is precisely the time when the Zcash narrative should start to be spread more strongly, regardless of how little noise a few naysayers make.
As if this were not enough, and taking advantage of the fact that it is close, we have our sights set on attending the HCPP24 event, a hacker event, where decentralized economy, freedom and crypto-anarchy topics are discussed. This event will be held in Prague, Czech Republic.

Zcashers, right now Zcash is going through a process of transformation and change, which must be seen and assumed by everyone with the best possible attitude and disposition. Zcash needs to continue driving its unparalleled development, just as it needs the constant improvements that are being implemented in the wallets, but in parallel it also needs more people to know Zcash, to use the ZEC, to know our ecosystem and to be educated around our proposal of privacy and freedom. And all our contributions, from our strengths and experiences, add up.
As an additional comment, I want to tell you that my country is going through a strong political crisis, and they are restricting people's passports and arresting them for the simple fact of expressing their opinions in social networks and thinking differently. Fortunately this is not the case for Aura and me, but it would be great if you could support us just at this time to be able to travel.
