The long awaited day has arrived. After weeks of planning and preparation, this activity, which has us very excited and motivated in the Zcash en Español community, has finally started.

We started the day with a lot of energy, meeting the kids, talking about their interests, their ages, and their experience with cryptoassets.

Out of 40 young people only 3 had heard about cryptocurrencies, about Bitcoin or USDT. No one, not surprisingly, knew about Zcash.

It was my turn to open the camp to explain from scratch what Bitcoin is, the evolution of money (as we can see in My First Zcash), and the importance of having a new decentralized and secure private currency.

I must confess: although I have already had the opportunity to train young people, this has been the first time I teach them about Bitcoin, Zcash and how to use a wallet, and the experience has been overwhelming!

The receptivity of the young people is incredible; and the desire to learn more and more about cryptocurrencies, about wallets, about exchanges, about trading, about monetization, has exceeded all my expectations.

In only 1 day of the camp I can tell you that this is the way! The young people are sponges, ready to absorb all the knowledge and information available on the subject. Both females and males were open and receptive to understanding money, the new money. And their expectations are also very high.

It has certainly been a rewarding journey. Exhausting, but very rewarding and positive.

As an anecdote, I tell you that in the middle of the session, talking about Zingo, the seed phrases and the safeguarding of the users' data, the power went out (something normal in Venezuela), and far from getting demotivated or leaving the room where we were, the young people kept asking questions and wanting to know more and more. Some of them even showed interest in learning how to program.

The next generation of programmers, beta testers, users, is out there! Schools and universities are where we can get the attention and interest of that new generation of Zcashers.

Once again, thanks to ZecHub and ZCG for the support for this activity. Thanks to Aura Brito and the logistics team that is accompanying us to carry out this activity.

Here are some pictures of this wonderful day.
