The tenth edition of #EBC10 has started!
The main event we are in Europe for has already kicked off, and it has been a very promising event.
We started the day very early, arriving first thing in the morning at Fira Barcelona, a spectacular venue that this city has for events of this magnitude. A space conveniently located near the Plaza de España, in Montjuic.
In the following image you can see the distribution of the spaces, very well organized!
There are plenty of networking spaces, tables for those who always carry their laptops, spaces to eat, and even a Ping Pong table where I made several contacts.
The topics of this first day were varied: tokenization, asset management, The MiCA law, Digital Transformation, trading, adoption, regulation and custody of assets.

One thing I should mention: I didn't see anyone talking about privacy, nor decentralization, let alone education!
This could be due to several factors: the event is only aimed at true blockchain technology enthusiasts and professionals. That is, it is not suitable for novices or beginners.
Why is nobody talking about education? Is it because 100% of the projects and stands are from companies, centralized and pro-regulation?
Well yes, I am used to talk about education and dissemination, and when I see projects that do not deal with this important topic I think that their target is another one.
I think as Josh said in his weekly newsletter: the ecosystem is being very complacent, promoting regulations. Is the original spirit of the Zypherpunks being lost?
The organization and logistics of the event have been totally up to par. There have been many booths, many participants, speakers and enthusiasts.
I think it is VITAL that Zcash has speakers present in the editions of this event, definitely these events will give more visibility to the participating projects.
As I mentioned on Twitter, there has only been one person who mentioned Zcash.
And Aura and I have been handing out Zcash, Free2Z and Zingo stickers, talking to some people randomly, and the truth is that only 1% showed knowledge of Zcash.
Tomorrow we will continue to approach people randomly, to talk, and why not? Get them to install a Zcash wallet. We will see.
Today we decided not to attend the side events, because we got tired... this is an all day event!
But tomorrow we will be at the side events. There are a few exchanges we are interested in talking to, to see if we can get them to list Zcash.
