If there is one thing I have learned in this European tour of events and conferences is that Spaniards make impeccable events of the highest level. They have the infrastructure, the technology and the gastronomy to do it (because yes, in a good event you can also eat and drink well).
But beyond the impressive logistics of the Madrid Tech Show 2024, I want to highlight here the lessons and reflections that today's conferences left us with. Today, contrary to what I told you in the previous review, we spent more time at the conferences than at the stands, and there were some very good ones!
It is humanly impossible to enjoy all the conferences in an event of this magnitude, but here I want to highlight some of them:
Business Resilience: How to transform cyber threats into a competitive advantage, a brutal conference, in which we saw how what we often consider threats or weaknesses of an organization or community, we can turn them into strengths. To achieve this good leadership is vital, but so is a community of engaged and active employees/team members. It's a recipe that needs all the ingredients.
**The future of AI: development of open models based on the “open source” community.**Bitcoin is Open Source, Zcash is Open Source, and there are a lot of projects that are also Open Source, and that are precisely what they are because of their community of active members. This is why communities are important! The community members of any project/brand are the ones that will validate the use and adoption of the project itself. It's a virtuous circle.
The impact of AI on cloud computing. AI is in everything! And I personally believe that more and more we will see it in our day to day lives, interacting with us and serving us, or making us save time and processes. I like that the combination of 2 cutting edge technologies, such as cloud technology and AI can be used together.
Marketplaces, the new search engines - How to position and boost your brand beyond Google. Marketplaces are becoming more and more popular, so why don't we at Zcash look for ways to connect with these marketplaces where people are constantly buying and selling items, and even need to take care of their privacy? Ecommerce is becoming more and more prominent, and Zcash should connect with some service that allows to exploit the power of Ecommerce + blockchain technology. Can you imagine that?
Ecommerce well optimized for Google? Check your SEO On Page. It's not enough to have the best product and the best price, you have to be easy for people to find. That's what was talked about at this conference. And if we apply this to Zcash, we could say: it is not enough to have the best ZKproof implementation today, but it is important to spread and teach the benefits of it, and why it is increasingly important that people know about it.
And many more conferences!
I think next year I will have to create an AI bot, to attend other conferences and give me a well detailed breaf of everything that happens in them.
Party and DJ
Madrid Tech Show 2024 could not have closed better! We bid farewell to this edition with the presence of a DJ who livened up the evening, got the attendees moving, as well as a legion of waiters dedicated themselves to providing hydration, with beer, wine, and other beverages.
This party/session lasted about 2 hours, but it was a relaxed way to share the end of the afternoon, after an intense day of work.
I leave the Madrid Tech Show pleasantly surprised. I feel that it is an initiative where we can learn a lot from all the trends of the current technology market. The zcashers must be aware of all the trends of this market to keep updated.
With this event ends the tour of events that Aura and I came to Europe to cover. We leave with a lot of new knowledge, friends, contacts and experiences.
We will never stop thanking the global Zcash community, Ryan and the ZK AV Club, Josh and the ECC, Danika and the Zcash Foundation for supporting us. To the ZecHub, Zingo, Zashi, and many members of the community who have been watching what we shared with them during this tour. Thank you!
We will return to Barcelona (where we left our suitcases, since we came to Madrid with only the bare necessities and a backpack), and we will be telling you about the new things we are preparing from Zcast, from the Zcash en Español community and from the ZK AV Club.
