The conferences keep happening on Day 3 of this spectacular event, and today focused on 3 main topics:
Healthcare
Aviation
Human talent
Although all are very interesting topics, and even serve to increase our general culture, we decided to participate in the stage directed to the topic of Human Talent.
And what a surprise!
Those of us who work with technology, with immediacy and high-speed connections, often forget that behind all those apps, buttons, and technical procedures, there are human beings with interests and needs.
Crypto communities are made up of human beings, by different talents that can contribute to the growth of the projects, but we must understand the trends and needs of these human beings. Tokens, bytes and AIs are cold and can't get enough, but not so human beings.
I feel that these conferences gave us very valuable and interesting insights into the trends in this area. Let's look at some of them and what they brought to us:
Why training for tech employees is different. What a way to open the day! Technology is advancing at breakneck pace, and all of us who work with it in one way or another need our environments, our collaborators and project leaders, to also move at the same pace. Technology is opening up more and more positions and positions in the world, and these different profiles require specialized attention from recruiters and recruiters. If this attention is not given, there is a risk that talent will leave for companies or contracts where they feel they are aligned with them.
How is the digital talent market? This panel gave us a lot of data: for example, employees today want more flexible schedules, remote work, and fewer hours. For their part, companies are looking for employees and collaborators who will become ambassadors of their brand, and you have to match these different needs. It seems that money is not the main motivation of today's tech employee, but how they feel within the organization: taken into account, respected and well treated.
How AI is breaking into the recruitment market. This topic generates a lot of controversy and division, as many people argue that AI has arrived to put humans out of a job. The invited experts commented that this is not so. AI is really facilitating processes, but at the same time opening up other options and jobs, but we must be prepared! We should not refuse or deny the use of AI, because it will be more and more present in companies.
After the panels and conferences, and the lunch break, there were tasting sessions of various local products, such as tea, wines, beers and other foods, all delicious!
I don't remember the names and pronunciation of everything I tasted, (even though I speak Spanish!) But I can definitely say two things: first, that the local producers and gastronomic SMEs present at the BNEW2024 are of the highest quality, and second, that Spain has a very large offer in this food sector. One supplier is better than another, there is a lot of variety and competition, and that benefits the consumer.
And so ended Day 3 of BNEW2024, leaving us with a lot of new knowledge about global and technological trends regarding human talent.
Tomorrow will be the closing of the event, and we will be there, to share everything that happens.
You can watch the Live we did, talking about the summary of the day.
