Corpán just got a massive upgrade and we’re obsessed. Say hello to Stacks, your new superpower for organizing language learning.

Note that Corpán is localized into every language offered. By dragging a language to the bottom of the stack, the UI is translated to that language:
Then, you can enjoy learning in one stack and switch back quickly.

Stacks let you build completely separate learning universes. One Stack for Romance Languages (Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese), another for your Slavic adventure (Polish + Russian, anyone?), another just for Korean. Each one remembers its own progress, level, and order so you can flip between them instantly and never lose your place.
And yes, having all 16 languages in a single mega-Stack, is still awesome. But, as we add more and more languages, Stacks make it easy to keep your setups lean, experiment with new combos, and avoid wrecking your progress history just because you’re curious about Hungarian for a weekend.
What’s Inside a Stack?
A Stack is basically its own little world - an isolated context where everything lives together:
- Languages: Each Stack has its own selected language set.
- Progress: Levels, scores, history - all unique to that Stack.
- Order & Settings: You can arrange languages differently per Stack.
When you switch Stacks, we swap out your entire state and load the other one. It’s like stepping into a different dimension: your German-only Stack stays frozen in time until you come back.
From a tech perspective:
Stacks are namespaces for your data. Everything is keyed by Stack ID, so nothing leaks across universes. Switching is just rehydrating the right state.
Soon we’ll be able to give you local analytics - data that stays on your device - showing which words and sentences you’ve seen across your languages.
The Math is Bonkers
Here’s how wild this gets: with 30 languages in Corpán, the number of possible ordered Stacks you could build is
Yes, that’s a 7 followed by 32 digits worth of possibilities.
Even with just 16 languages, there are
possible ordered sets. Your Stacks could be unique in the history of the universe.
Why This Matters
Language learning is personal, maybe even chaotic.
Stacks give you permission to play, experiment, and compartmentalize:
- Build a Romance Stack and binge through conjugations.
- Make a Slavic Stack and notice how Russian and Polish verbs dance around each other.
- Create a Crazy Stack with Mandarin, Arabic, and Hungarian just to keep your brain guessing.
- Or go big: one epic Stack with every single language we offer.
The more languages we add, the cooler this becomes because Stacks scale with you.
