CATO did a poll on CBDCs and opposition was about double support. But, these numbers are soft. Most people are dumb as rocks and will easily fold for their favorite issue, left or right. Authoritarianism is inevitable. Want to stop undocumented immigrants from working? CBDC. Want to stop the unvaccinated from working? CBDCs. Fight climate change? CBDCs. Stop tax evasion? CBDCs. Fentanyl and other illegal drugs? CBDCs. There is something for everyone.
