The Magic Tree House series is a series of books written by American author Mary Pope Osborne.
The books are based on the adventures of two children, Jack and Annie, who are sent on magical adventures by a mysterious librarian in a tree house. The series is aimed at children ages 4 to 8 and has sold more than 135 million copies worldwide. The first book in the series, Dinosaurs Before Dark, was published in 1992 and the most recent book, Dark Day in the Deep Sea, was published in 2020. The series has also spawned several spin-off series, including Magic Tree House: Merlin Missions, Magic Tree House: Fact Trackers, and Magic Tree House: Super Edition.
