The ZCash pool is live on Thorchain. This might not sound like a great news for some people who don't understand the weight of it, but for those who are in the game knows that this is a game changer. This move bring more decentralized assets to the ZEC realm and also amplify the route from ZCash to move into other coins all in decentralized manner.
This means more ways to get ZEC and more ways to swap ZCash for other range of crypto that Thorchain provide. It will increase decentralized liquidity and cut the middleman in every swap done in the protocol. This is huge specially for those who value their freedom and doesn't support KYC to use their money. Onething to consider before using the Thorchain route is that liquidity still shallow and will increase over time.
The great news also is that users are already taking advantage of the Thorchain ZEC pool and swapping their coins into other coins that the protocol offer. The movement will keep increasing over time and more and more traders will get to use the permissionless protocol.
Interesting also is to see Thorchain keep moving even with all what have been said about the protocol after the Bitget incident. I truly don't know why some people can still thinking that Thorchain have any obligation to blacklist addresses to please them even when the protocol doesn't do that. If they had that strength and power they could blacklist the address for the ones who stole their funds but they didn't.
What they did was to pause the protocol using a vote to reach that consensus with their nodes and avoid losing more funds from the hackers. Nice to see them moving on, people using their services and today implementing ZEC pool.
