At first glance, X appears to be a cool platform, but upon closer inspection, there is still a lot of authoritarianism, and users can be deprived of their accounts and permanently banned from the platform at any moment. It is no surprise that the late Twitter and now X have, over time, cherished a more authoritarian conduct with the aim of becoming the world's largest social news organ, but this comes at a cost for users.
Users who do not strictly adhere to the platform's TOS can be banned at any time, their accounts blacklisted or shadow banned, and, to top it all off, they can have their usernames removed from the platform! It sounds like a movie plot, but since these things are not widely publicized, not all users have the privilege of keeping up with them, and it happens a lot.
Let me give you an example of the account with the username "X", which had been the owner of the identifier since 2007, with over 65 thousand followers. On the day and time that Elon and his company wanted the username for corporate purposes, it was "taken" from the original user and given to the company as the official account of the new and rejuvenated platform. This paves the way for thoughtful minds to foresee what X will be in the future: a platform with authoritarian management and many users being banned or blocked.
Elon Musk proclaims that X Platform will be an unprecedented product in the economic field, where users will have the opportunity to conduct entire financial transactions without leaving the platform. But has anyone stopped to think about how many licenses the billionaire will have to submit for approval and how the subscriber and ad sharing program will be conducted?
Certainly, many have seen this movie, but from a different perspective, and the future will be bright for some, but the vast majority will be harmed, especially those who cannot afford the $7 subscription fee for the platform.
