Incomprehensibly, we have a justice system that has eyes and favors some at the expense of others, and it wouldn't be expected otherwise when on one side we have an admitted thief of other people's funds and on the other side a political system where people were paid to turn a blind eye.

It's regrettable to realize that influence still works, and all the noise made around Sam Bankman-Fried before being arrested is justified because many politicians received bribes from SBF and somehow are compromised and obviously have to do something to prevent the former golden boy of the crypto space from spending too much time in prison. Only 25 years for someone who stole billions of dollars from clients and lied to the court?!

This sentence is meager because he won't serve all those years, and he will surely go back to doing what he has done before. There are people in the judicial system who did little or nothing to deserve the sentence they have or are serving.

A glaring case is that of Ross Ulbricht who created the infamous Silk Road and is serving consecutive sentences of life imprisonment without parole. He has no friends in the system and today serves years in prison, and the funny thing about all this is the coincidence. Ross Ulbricht turned 40 on the same day that SBF was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

The summary here is that justice was definitely not served, and SBF was given a pat on the back, as if to say "go on, kid, hold out there for a while, then we'll see what to do, but surely you won't stay long there" a complete absurdity and lacking respect for the people he stole from, after all, they remain his victims.

And another thing, now no fraudster will be afraid to steal because they know that nothing can be done, and if caught, they will parade in prison and when everyone has forgotten, they'll be released. And I thought the American judicial system works, I was completely wrong, they too can be corrupted.

Shame, great shame.
