Picture this: you get home, prepare yourself to watch a big debate that could give you an idea of who to place your vote for in the upcoming elections, and to your surprise, the contenders just talk about golf. Yes, you read that correctly—golf. It's crazy how a debate that could enlighten people on who to vote for turns into a joke and a very concerning discussion. The whole nation was prepared to hear what both candidates had planned for the future, and they disappoint.
People were interested to see these dudes talking about things that are important and are affecting them: jobs, the economy, international affairs, food security, wars, and so on. If I were an American right now, I would be worried, as neither of these two seems to be taking the presidential election seriously enough. They are just playing, and this is bad because the most powerful nation in the world has two old dudes who have nothing to prove as president. No matter who wins, the White House will be occupied by a person who is more than 80 years old.
I understand why they are talking about golf—there's nothing more to be discussed in the American government. All is fine, the world is cool, and people aren't being killed in Palestine and Ukraine. People are happy living their lives in Bolivia, where a coup d'état was just at their doors, and all is cool. What's wrong with these dudes? The American presidential election isn't just their problem but a world problem, as the nation is driving international affairs and most of the world still depends on them, and they are just talking about golf? Is that serious?
Come on, Trump, come on, Biden—the world needs a more serious debate about things that matter to the American people and to the world. Stop screwing up and talk about serious things that will make the world a better place to live. One more virus is coming, and you talk about golf? I can't tell you to grow up, as you are already grown-ups (more than that), but respect your voters and respect the world.
