One of the major issues with organizations receiving funds from block rewards is the mismanagement of these resources, often using them for unintended purposes. To address the question of whether they should continue to receive funding, it is necessary first to analyze whether these entities are genuinely working towards the goals of Zcash. It is crucial to determine if the defined goals are being met and if the community is satisfied with what the Fund is doing for Zcash.
For example, it makes no sense for these organizations to continue being funded with block rewards if they are acting in bad faith. However, if after thorough analysis it is clear that they play a focused role in the development of Zcash in the market, then the funding should continue, and it should be rigorously monitored to ensure ongoing development and the continued flourishing of Zcash in the market.
This is a sensitive issue that requires in-depth analysis to avoid future regret and to ensure that significant progress is made. Therefore, considering various analyses, everyone is invited to conduct their own assessment and conclude whether these organizations deserve to continue receiving block rewards. If not, they should be able to justify that decision.
One area that I believe is failing is the management of the Zcash treasury, which prioritizes dollars and other cryptocurrencies instead of Zcash itself as the currency of use. The treasury should prioritize Zcash over other cryptocurrencies and avoid converting ZEC to Bitcoin or USDT, conducting all possible transactions using ZEC, whether in a shielded or transparent manner. By exchanging ZEC for other cryptocurrencies, the treasury sends a wrong message to the market that ZEC is not suitable for payments, which negatively impacts the price due to market dumping.
This is just an opinion based on what I have read in the forum, and as a lover of ZEC, I cannot support this idea. ZEC is money and can be used for everything and more. Therefore, if there are other currencies in the treasury, they should be converted back to Zcash. It would also be beneficial to maintain a value in USDT as a portfolio to buy more ZEC from the market and conduct other types of work.
