Coming Back to Free2z After a Hard Pause
I have been out from Free2z for almost 3 months now and that was a "pain in the a".For some weird reason, the website was blocked by my communications and internet institute (in my country) but it's all solved and I could come back to the platform.I return in a period that Zcash is facing backlash, if we can say, from Binance who promise to delist the coin after a community vote to take down some coins.
The Zcash Delisting Drama: Binance’s Clear Message
It seems this is a very delicate theme on the Zcash space and many are pleading to Binance to review the situation and relist the privacy coin into the crypto exchange.I doubt Binance will relist or take another different position for what it's already established and I have reasons to believe that "the delisting is a step the platform wants".In fact, they are the ones with clear intentions to delist Zcash if we look at what coins/tokens the exchange placed the privacy coin in the same basket.
Clearly they are saying out loud they don't want Zcash anymore in their platform. So why bother and kneel to get it there?Zcashers should be proud to get the coin out from Binance and I am particularly glad they are doing that.First, they are shooting themselves in the foot, as Zcash is one of the best privacy coins available in the market right now.
Why Zcash Shouldn't Beg to Stay on Centralized Exchanges
Second, the exchange is playing with Zcash like they do with many coins. They promote pump and dump coins with the purpose to control more of the supply and buy it back cheap. They manipulate the price of any coin and make a living hell of plenty of coins in the market — and then do everything they can to delist it.
But don't get confused with this:Centralized exchanges like Binance are a place to gradually kill a coin. And the way they have been treating Zcash, it's better, at least for me, to get it out from there for good.
Privacy Coins and KYC: A Contradiction
Also, there's no point for any privacy coin to be listed in centralized exchanges that ask for people's KYC after all.The whole idea behind privacy is that people deserve their "secure corner" where they don't need to share private info if they don't want to.
Imagine that — in any centralized exchange, users are being forced to do KYC to use them! But Zcash is a privacy coin that doesn't need that kind of threat — "if you don't do KYC you're out from here."Serious?
What's the point of being a private and anonymous if these players can anytime threaten users to delist their coin, even if that coin is private and decentralized? Of course, people will say: "oh no, Zcash can also be used on the open Blockchain using the transparent address."* Yes, but that should be a choice! And they shouldn't be forced to use transparent addresses just to trade Zcash.
The Way Forward for Zcash: Decentralization and Peer-to-Peer Adoption
Binance is playing a dirty game against Zcash and the community should be relieved with their behavior. The platform will always have Zcash on their portfolio — and keep selling the coin OTC, dumping the price, and using hidden accounts to buy back the coin to store in their big vaults.
Zcash is a powerful tool to secure private financial movements and grant people's freedom to use their money the way they want.If they want to delist, go ahead.
Now is time for the community to think ahead and create circular economies where Zcash is used peer-to-peer.Plenty of decentralized exchanges are still offering Zcash for customers — and they don't need KYC or that interference on people's affairs.
I truly believe that once Binance delists Zcash, the price of the currency will improve step by step, as there won't be a huge player manipulating the Zcash price anymore.
Final Words: Privacy Coins Will Always Matter
Remember that Binance, not long ago, threatened to delist Zcash alleged because of European privacy coin scrutiny. At that time, they backed off and decided to keep Zcash by tagging it.
Right now, that excuse is gone and they are using the community to vote on delisting! Are you seeing that something isn’t good with Binance?
Time for Zcashers to step up, bet on decentralized platforms, and push real-world Zcash use cases to get more people embracing it.
For me, if Binance wants to take out Zcash, they can do it, but Zcash won’t die for that.Privacy coins matter and we users are the ones giving it value and importance.
The value of the currency will go up when people realize that "the value people are willing to pay is the correct one" in a cryptocurrency. So Zcash has value — and it isn’t Binance who will decide otherwise.
Don't worry — everything will be fine, and Zcash will continue valuable no matter what.
