I'm watching the Queen spectacular show, and I'm wondering, "Where are those musicians like them?" Nowadays, it's just a bunch of guys playing musical instruments without that love for the music; everything is just commercial.
This awesome show I'm watching was back in the '80s, and until today, it's remarkable. Freddie Mercury on vocals backed by talented musicians behind him. Together, they built amazing songs—current, memorable, and special—that connect the world to them.
They were gods of the music of their time, and people followed them wherever they went. Amazing sounds like "We are the champions" are hits to this day because they were made with talent, unlike today's more commercial musicians who prioritize money over showcasing their natural talent.
Pure Magic
Natural talent can open doors and put musicians on a pedestal that stays in people's minds forever, recognized by music-directed magazines. Queen released each song with lyrics that became international hits not because they didn't want money—they did—but because they were committed to bringing songs that could change lives forever.
And they did.
During their time, Freddie Mercury and Queen published enormous songs that left a mark in their era until today. These songs are iconic. Who doesn't remember "Mama," a song dedicated to mothers worldwide with excellent production, a true piece of art?
Art, music, or anything made with love and dedication is something that can transform the world. Who doesn't remember one of the latest shows at Wembley Stadium dedicated to African children in Africa by Freddie and his companions? It was a worldwide note, and the fundraising goal was surpassed by a lot.
Still Pure Magic
Those guys were gods of music, and I believe we still have musicians who could be like Queen, but they first need to dedicate their lives to music, not just to money, and get their names as the "Gods of Music," labeled on the entire planet.
Sadly, Freddie Mercury died very young, but he left a crucial lesson: "No matter what you do with life, if you want to live strong and healthy, you need to have just one partner and use a condom." He died infected by AIDS and was one of the first worldwide stars to die from this infamous disease.
But he left us with his music as a legacy!
