Since Hamas perpetrated its first attack on Israel on October 7, killing innocent civilians and taking some Israelis hostage, the Israeli army has orchestrated and carried out attacks on Hamas, resulting in casualties, both among terrorists and innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip.
The war is causing irreparable damage, and today it is announced that the Israeli army will launch an attack on Gaza to attempt to eliminate Hamas once and for all.
However, this incursion into Gaza will not only result in the death of the radical group but also cause losses of innocent civilian lives as they try to leave Gaza at all costs.
Last week, the Baptist Hospital in Gaza was bombed, leading to the deaths of innocents, with at least 500 people losing their lives. To this day, it's uncertain who initiated the attack, and with this new incursion, more infrastructure and services will be destroyed.
The ones who suffer the most in this war are women, the elderly, and children, who, due to their condition, become innocent victims in a conflict involving Hamas and the Israeli army.
This war will have global repercussions because Israel, despite defending its sovereignty, is indiscriminately attacking the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of innocent civilians. While Hamas is a terrorist group, it doesn't represent the entire Palestinian population, and an incursion into Gaza will only continue to claim innocent lives.
Israel's approach to its cause may be legitimate, but it becomes illegitimate when it involves the killing of innocent people under the watchful eyes of the international community. It's essential for the international community to speak out and do everything possible to ensure the safe evacuation of all Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and provide them with humanitarian aid. Without this, we will be witnessing an unprecedented massacre carried out by one of the world's most powerful armies.
