hi, dis is zerodartz, a wassie dat visited Zcon4 dis year 2023. twas amazin ting to be dere.
so u want to know how was Zcon4? in one word amazin. heres muh based n factual n weird story of it all.

but if u want de deepest truths lets dive deeper... - its been 2 months. it was all like yday but actually also so long ago.

barca airport was humid n hot - also now noticed dat one hooman haz zebra ting on clothes

learnd so much bout Zcash, meet lots of new peeps, and verified dat de online ppl were physical, even Zooko. also everyone der prob met me also if dem recognized me or not. didnt get to talk to all of dem. (OK, tried to get AI to write it all for me, half worked but will take it over from here mostly)

so dont be mad at me too long - i took cheapest flights. and all active community members could apply for it, and many more did. ty Ryan for encouraging me and also for a great community stuff at Zcon.

does it all make me biased? u cud say it does, and prob am a bit, but i try not to be.

ok lets put sum pics here how was my trip der. mostly phone pics, sum camera ones later as well.

almost zero sleep before the flights. den bout 8 hours of travel time i guess wif changin planes. who cares, most had even longer flights.

first look at local street - instantly loved it. chill vibes, bicycles, warm hot air (not dat much love)

day0

• walked into de hotel and 30s later walkd in noone else but RyanT - a coicindence? i tink not.

wish id taken some even more photos and VIDEOS. but instead i fully enojyed the whole community experience.

registered in - dey asked me deposit - it went over my smol limit instantly lol. upped my limits in 30s and got de deposit done. spoiler - i got it all back wen i left hotel.

ok lets cut dis bs. u came here to read sumting more useful prob. well wat can i say?
muh room - luxury - bed was most comfy bed ever slept in. maybe was tired? but i closed eyes at nite and opened in mornin feelin ready to go. adrenaline was pumpin maybe.

after changin 100% sweatty clothes - came bacc down to find some ppl i had never met irl but saw faces in discord.

somehow we all connected irl pretty well. maybe denks to dat we had spoken online, but me only in text. so the first minutes were a bit awkward but watever zerodartz always been like dat - no one seemed to care bout dat. dey welcomed me. hanged out mostly wif @ZFAVclub ppl and some ZecHub and ZcashBrazil and Zcash Foundation ppl.
all really gud ppl - or so it seemed - down to earth - smart - but still hoomans like everyone.

dont remember much from day0 i think we all went to sleep after some technical difficulties wif tech u kno. computers neva work as intended. and like Zcash. khmhmhmkh. it works Today.

neva mind. we went out wif Skylar - de dev of Free2z - gotta give respect to him, such a great site wif so much potential for future. again felt like we were old friends from the moment we met. unreal. we went out walked around a corner and sat down at a local - bar? outside on the street. we were eatin sum smol fud for an hour n talking bout many topics. everyone had said they will also come here but we didnt see anyone for a while.

n just as we thoguh waterver lets start going soon. der dem all were. comin in hordes. de real zebras, de Zcashers.

an hour or few later even more Zcashers joined it was buzzin wif zero knowledge devs n scientists i tink. i was just listenin mostly. duck i kno wat dem all talked bout. it was fun anyway. it was warm and dark.

DAY1

wake up

breakin de fast - nah no fastin - here it was muchos fuds, brekfest, lunch, dinners, nighttime food outs. but it was all very delicious. dem spanish know how to cook the foodz.

so on day1 speakers were so informatif and dey talk about so many tings dat I never heard of before. got to meet so many peeps and we all got to share our ideas and tings dat we tink about Zcash. connected wif Tim de ambassador, again a smart one, had so many great ideas for future.

crazy ting iw. i started to notice all zebra patterns in barca and it hasnt stopped since. i almost daily to weekly meet ppl on streets or ting dat haf zebra pattern. the zeal has gone 2 far already no turnin back.

we had a great time together, going out in the hot summer nights to eat, drink, and explore.

dis nite had de most expensive dinner - but it wasnt too much considerin how much and good it was all togetha

Zcashers testin wallets to pay each other to split de bills. i tink i saw by accident sumone havin whale wallet or sumting but not sure who it was. just a big number popped up in de corner of muh eye.

DAY2

oh boy. how am i only in day2? as u prob get it by now im puttin less focus on speakers and de conference itself and most on sideevents dinners community gatherin n stuff. which is actually over 50% of Zcon as I get it now. best part actually.

oh yea, speakers were gud also. watch it back from online now if u missed sumting.

heres a funny story. wen arrivin to dat bar dis evenin everyone was already der. so went to order sum water n der was a longer sorta line. wen i got closer i saw Zooko buying sumting. so i joked wif sumone dat i bet Zooko is trying to pay in ZEC and dats y de line is so long. and sumone said dat mite be true and not a joke. but i tink dere were metal coins involved dis tiem.

dis nite we also met de wanderin dude wif de coolest drip around town

we went to beach bar but wif smoler amount of people. i tink Skylar was der discussin Aliens n stuff. I was bit tired n dindt feel de best anymore.

DAY4?

leavin barca

planned to take train/metro ting. bought ticket went to train everyone was rushin outta train. some were yellin at de train driver? in spanish. realized dat train aint goin anywere. paniced for a little. tried to get out of dat place. couldnt. for real. dat ticket didnt let you out of dat station. or me at least. waited for another person to go through the gate and followed dem and got out. den took de first taxi to airport. yea couldve taken a bus or sth cause got to airport early enuf. watever. dat was my only big spendin in barca. everyting else was mostly on smol budget.

LIVE, REST, INVEST - great motto - saw it from taxi window.

enuf i tink. made it safely home. oh yeah i got bit sick durin dat whole trip back home sneezin. but was fine after 2 days home.
