Hello, Zcashers!
It's a pleasure for us to debut this space on Free2Z to get in touch with the entire global Zcash community.
We use this space to update you on our next moves around our podcast.
As you know, Zcast exists thanks to the support received in the 1st round of Minor Grants from the Zcash Foundation, launched in April this year.
We have accomplished everything we set out (and more) in that Grant, which was: 1st season of the podcast, with 12 episodes. In total, we did 47 videos, live streamings, covered Zcon4, did Twitter Spaces, and a bunch of other stuff that you can see here. In other words, not only did we meet our objectives, but we quadrupled what we had promised.
We then applied for the 2nd round of Minor Grants, launched in October of this year, but unfortunately we were not selected. You can follow up on that topic in the Zcash Community forum.
The truth is that, although we have not been approved by the ZCAP in its majority, we want to continue with Zcast, since it has been more than demonstrated how necessary and important it has been to have a space for education/information/education about Zcash in Spanish, in addition to the work that is already being done from the Zcash en Español community by Ambassador Yoditar.
In view of all this, we have decided to rethink our plan for the 2nd season, and ask for the support of the entire Zcash community in this way. This way we will be able to cover the minimum costs necessary to continue producing the podcast (covering only the payment of the freelance video editor and the compensation for the podcast hosts, and not taking into account the additional equipment and subscription payments mentioned in the initial proposal).
For the 2nd season these costs amount to the amount of:
10,000.00 USD.
And our goal with this campaign is to reach that amount.
For this 2nd season, the frequency of the podcast will be monthly. This means that the 2nd season will consist of 6 episodes.
We also inform the global Zcash community that we will reapply to the next rounds of grants from the Zcash Foundation, until we obtain sufficient funds to acquire new equipment and cameras, and to increase the originally planned frequency of 1 episode per week. In addition, we want to go beyond the screens, and do face-to-face information and training activities (Meetups, forums, conferences, lectures, etc.).
We are aware that Latin America and the Spanish-speaking community is still virgin ground to know, learn and use Zcash, so our participation is of vital importance in the long-awaited mass adoption of Zcash.
