It's looking like quantum computers may be a serious risk to public-key cryptography. The current design of Zcash is potentially vulnerable, for both privacy and integrity, to quantum attacks. Daira-Emma will describe how to fix it and what performance, bandwidth, and engineering trade-offs are likely to be necessary. This talk aims to get into some of the technical detail without assuming much prior knowledge of post-quantum cryptography.
