I would like to fund an idea to skywrite "Zcash" in the sky and capture it on video.
This video could be used at opportune times to "pump" Zcash.
I am awaiting an estimate for the cost.

- What is the estimate cost for a 5 character message, ending with a ❤️ (I presume this would equal 6 characters in total)?
The message would be "ZCASH ❤️"
How would weather affect the purchase? For example... If I purchase your service, but the weather smudges the writing, would you try again on another day? It is important that the writing be fully legible.
Would your service digitally record the process for me? I require the skywritten message to be legible and video/digitally recorded from the ground. An additional bonus would be if your service provides an interior 360 degree camera as well, although this would not be necessary.

"Thank you for your recent inquiry on Skywriting. I am the pilot for Skywriting & Skytyping and I can definitely perform this for you. I am the direct source for this service and not a broker or middle man. I am going to share my basic details and if I missed something, I will circle back to your questions at the end of this email. I know you said "No Skytyping", but I'm going to share this option to make comparisons. Here is some information on our services.
SKYWRITING:
This type of aerial messaging has the Wow factor as it is awe-inspiring and old-fashioned but it does have some small limitations. I don't recommend going over 5 letters for a single message in order to avoid dissipation. We can do longer messages, but they are subject to the weather conditions and could come with some risk on how long the message will last in the sky.
Each letter takes nearly 2 minutes to create and a 5 letter word can take 10 minutes to complete. The letters I write in the sky are one mile in height and a giant Heart is 1 ½ miles tall. Skywriting is performed very high up in the air at about 11,000 feet above the ground and well above most sensitive airspace. It can be seen from 10-15 miles away in all directions.
We are based in the Los Angeles area and Skywriting is $3500 for up to a 5 letter message in the local area. Each letter beyond that is an additional $200 per letter and I usually don’t recommend it. Hearts, Happy Faces and Infinity signs are the equivalent of 2 letters due their size, so your message would be 7 and I don't recommend it. Our local area includes Ventura County, LA County, Orange County, parts of Riverside County and parts of San Bernardino County too.
We can bring Skywriting to your location, but it does require us to reposition the aircraft and materials necessary to do the work. These costs are calculated mainly by distance. If those costs are out of your expectations then I might suggest bringing your event to sunny Southern California and celebrate your special message out here. We have great weather year round and there are many wonderful places such as Beaches, National Parks and Iconic and historic places nearby in our local area of service.
SKYTYPING:
Another option would be Skytyping. This is done digitally with a formation of 5 aircraft and you can easily get an entire message in the sky up to 20-25 characters or more. The letters are 1250 feet in height or as tall as the Empire State Building and they can do a letter every 5 seconds and an entire message in 1-2 minutes. This type of service starts at $17,500 for a 10 message package in the local area. Those messages can be done in one or more locations if they are in our local area of service. There are days and times when we can offer a single “Tag Along” message. These are days when we already have a mission with a primary client. Ask us when the next Tag Along dates are available. Prices start at $3000 for a single message and $2500 each when purchasing 2 or more messages.
Once a decision is made, I will write up a Performance Agreement. This will include all of the details that you will expect of me, such as the location, message or service, date and time as well as the viewing direction. It also explains weather, wind and cloud limits. After this is signed and returned back to me, I can then accept funding for this event.
Payments can be made either by Credit Card, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay, Check in advance or Bank wire. Some customers prefer meeting me in person at the airport. It is a good idea to secure your performance date by getting the payment done as early as possible. A CC# will hold your performance date. I can do all of this by email, phone, or in person.
There are 3-4 Skywriters Nationwide and only 7 in the world. I am the Actual Pilot and the only Skywriter commercially working in the Western U.S. Additionally there are several brokers that advertise Skywriting services Online however they are not pilots and don’t perform the service they advertise but contact me to do this work for a commission and higher price to the client. Thirty years ago there were 22 Skywriters Nationwide. Today most of them have retired or passed without handing down this tradition to the younger generation pilots.
#1. The cost for a 5 letter Skywriting message is $3500 and Hearts are an additional 2 letters because of their size and time to create them. Your message with the heart is $3900 and I don't recommend going over the 5 letters due to the time it will take to write your message. ZCASH will take every bit of 10-11 minutes to write by itself and mother nature gives us about 10 minutes to work with before it goes away and that stopwatch starts at the beginning of writing. Your message ZCASH❤ will take nearly 14 minutes, so I can't guarantee or recommend this.
We will need to pick a day, time and location that has optimum conditions. That being said, I can't make guarantees regarding the perfection of your message and I can't simply go back up and do this again on another day. I do believe that I will have a degree of success if I can pick and choose when and where. There is a difference between legible and fully legible and If your expectations are super high, then I would recommend doing this digitally with the Skytyping and jump on board for a tagalong message on my next mission date. It will take me 30-35 seconds to write your message digitally and will be "fully legible".
I do not allow photography or cameras in or on the aircraft of single airplane Skywriting. However, I can bring out an additional plane for Skytyping with your photographer on board. The cost for this is an additional $3500 to the tagalong price. Ground photo/videography is your responsibility.
