Shadow of a Prodigy

Trinity, a fearless young explorer from the human-run city of New Jericho, travels with her father to android-run Yokura City. There she enters the Spirit Academy, a school built around spirit bonds, ranks, and the competitive Spirit Brawl. She has no known powers, yet spirits respond to her and an ancient Monolith reacts only to her. The book follows her from outsider to someone powerful people start to watch.
