First, thank you. After I shared the ugly incident in this community, the messages, condolences, and encouragement reminded me why Zcash is different. This isn’t just a network but it’s people watching each other’s backs.
As many of you already saw(as i shared on Zechub discord) , I was caught in a phishing operation disguised as a Zcash reward campaign. It looked native. It felt authentic. While trying to trace and expose it, my wallet was compromised and 0.690 ZEC was drained roughly $253 USD at current value via site https://zcash.icu/ . I was so gullible in the process, I admit after sharing my seed phrases. (For a moment I thought it's genuinely a Zcash initiative)
That loss isn’t just financial. It’s personal. It’s time, belief, and commitment to the Zcash ecosystem I genuinely care about after months of hodling and rewards for dework tasks. A very difficult time for me.
I didn’t come here to ask for sympathy. I've been a ZEChub contributor for over 3 years and ranks as the top 4 contribution on Zechub on Dework.
I came here because Zcash has always been about privacy, resilience, and community-powered strength.
If anyone feels moved to help me rebuild even a small part of what was taken, it would represent more than ZEC. it would represent solidarity, trust, and the idea that when one of us stumbles, the rest don’t look away. Please and please!
