I am originally from northern Lebanon but currently reside in Hadath, Beirut. My father abandoned us when I was just two years old, leaving me and my mother to face life’s challenges alone. Over the years, I worked in various fields, including volunteering in the Lebanese Army from 2010 to 2021.”
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Lebanon’s financial crisis, and the revolution, I had to leave the military because the salary was no longer enough to cover even our basic needs. Despite my efforts to find a job, I have been unemployed for almost a year and a half.”
“Recently, the war between Lebanon and Israel has made things even worse. We were displaced, and our home in Hadath was bombed and completely destroyed. We lost everything. For nine days, my mother and I had no place to go and were forced to sleep on the streets.”
“The date was in 5th or 6th of this month as i remember Old address was Beirut, Hadath area in the southern suburbs. The escape at that moment was uncertain. We fled to the streets like everyone else. We stayed on the road for about seven days until I managed to find a small house for rent in northern Lebanon, where the situation is safe up to this point.”
“What exactly happened that Israel start bombing towns belong to Hezbollah , and where i was living there was some of Hezbollah”
“I went to north Lebanon which is safe until the main time, and how did i escape? Israel gives warning before strikes, so we went outside the building and after 20 minutes from warning, they striked the building”
“Everything happened suddenly and fast.”
Plea for Help
“My name is Nabil Naoum, I am 36 years old, and I live with my sick mother in extremely difficult circumstances. Today, I humbly reach out to you in the hope of receiving your support to help us survive, rebuild our lives, and create a better future.”
My Mother's Health
“Adding to our struggles, my mother suffers from a severe brain injury and requires lifelong medical care. Her treatment, including medications, doctor visits, and therapy, costs between $350 and $450 each month. Without this care, her life is at risk.”
Where We Are Now
“I managed to find a small rental home in northern Lebanon for $180 per month. However, the house is completely empty, no beds, no appliances, and no essentials.”
Every month, I need around $700–$750 to cover the rent, my mother’s medical care, and basic needs. Without this money, we risk being homeless again, which is unsafe, especially with ongoing bombings.”
What I Need
“To stabilize our lives, I am seeking help to:
- Cover Rent: Secure the current home for at least one year ($2160).
- Provide Medical Care: Ensure my mother’s treatment for six months ($2100–$2700).
- Start a Small Business: Launch a small project to create a sustainable income for me and my mother so I won’t have to ask for help again.”
My End Goal
“My goal is to secure a safe home, ensure my mother’s health, and establish a stable source of income. This would allow us to live with dignity and hope for the future.”
How You Can Help
“Your support, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in our lives. If you are unable to donate, please share my story with others who might be able to help.”
Thank You!
“Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your kindness and generosity are the light we need in these dark times.”
