Proposal: Local ZCash - First & Inaugural Event
Empowering Privacy Advocacy and ZCash Adoption at the Grassroots Level
Introduction
The Local ZCash initiative is a grassroots effort aimed at spreading awareness about ZCash (ZEC) and its privacy features at the grassroots level worldwide through local meetups and community activities. We chose the name "Local ZCash" because the aim is to localize the adoption of ZCash at the grassroots level to achieve an accelerated global adoption. Local ZCash will be strictly community-run, comprising all users and supporters of ZCash. The initiative aims to replicate the successful model of the Solana Allstars community by hosting local meetups at the grassroots level to drive adoption within the ever-growing ZCash ecosystem.
Solana Allstars Model
Solana Allstars hosts meetups in cities and towns across the globe. These gatherings are intimate yet impactful, with 50 to 100 people coming together. Superfans—passionate Solana advocates—take the lead by organizing and managing these events, ensuring that Solana's message reaches every corner. The focus is on onboarding, education, and spreading the Solana gospel.
Attendees also learn about Step Finance, Solana's ecosystem, and general crypto knowledge. Solana Allstars acts as a distribution mechanism for partner products, increasing visibility and drawing more eyes to Solana projects.
