My name is Mahdi . I live in Iran and care for my two severely disabled brothers, Abolfazl and Hadi. I am asking for support because we cannot afford the treatment, medicine and daily care they need.

Abolfazl has severe cerebral palsy. He cannot sit even with help and depends on us for feeding, washing, changing his diapers and every daily need. He has severe scoliosis, a dislocated hip and painful muscle spasms. He needs surgery on both his spine and hip. He also needs neurosurgery to reduce his severe muscle spasms, but we cannot afford these operations.

We are not asking for a promise that he will walk. Our hope is to reduce his pain and spasms and, if possible, help him sit more comfortably. His spasms make changing his clothes and moving him extremely difficult. Even a small improvement could make a huge difference to his life and our ability to care for him.

Hadi has severe autism. He cannot speak and needs constant care and supervision. He can become aggressive and sometimes screams for ten hours. It is heartbreaking to see him so distressed and unable to tell us what is wrong.

Both of our parents also have serious health problems. My mother had breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy and chemotherapy. Her arm weakness prevents her from lifting Abolfazl. My father has muscular dystrophy and diabetes and cannot provide the physical care my brothers need.

Most of their daily care falls to me. Because of these responsibilities, I cannot work regularly. I have debts and fear imprisonment because I cannot repay them. I worry about who would care for my brothers if I were taken away.

I have tried many times to find help inside Iran without finding enough support. The small disability payment we receive does not cover even half of the diapers we need. We have not received the government support needed to cover their treatment and care. The war situation has made our circumstances even harder.

I cannot start a GoFundMe from Iran, and I do not have a trusted person abroad who can create and manage one for us. That is why I am asking the Free2Z and Zcash community to consider supporting my brothers.

Donations will help us pay for medicine, diapers, medical appointments and essential daily care, and save toward Abolfazl’s spine surgery, hip surgery and neurosurgery to reduce his spasms. We do not yet have a final written estimate for all the operations, so I do not want to give an inaccurate total. I will share updates and confirmed costs as they become available.

Medical records and disability documents are available. I can provide further documents or videos and am willing to have a video call so people can verify my brothers’ situation.
