After some research, I decided to downgrade my original intended setup to a simpler PC specs, now my goal is cheaper than befere! Check below to see my new goal!

Introduction

Wassup guys!

I'm a software developer and Zcash enthusiast. I'm learning the Zcash protocol and libraries to start developing and deploying awesome Zcash ready applications!

Inspiration

After the success of gordonesroo's free2z fundraising page, I've decided to try and start my own campaign!

I'm already working on some good stuff (more on that later), I'd be incredibly glad if you guys could help me out!

Hello Zcash World!

But first, let me introduce myself ...

Hi, my name (pseudonym actually) is James Katz, I'm a Brazilian programmer, having a background in IT Management, and a hobbyist 3d artist.

I'm quite active on the Zcash LatAm discord server, I developed an educational trivia bot and gave it to the server's administrator as a gift. Few of my art have been featured on their twitter account, and even the logo of the server is an animation I've made!

Bottom line is: I'm a huge supporter of Zcash and it's protocol, not some random leech.

Dedication to Zcash

I'm one of the most active users on Zcash LatAm, the 7th most active to be exact.

For the past few months I've been studying the Zcash protocol, and I'm already quite familiar with adityapk00's zecwallet lite codebase.

I'm now working on a wrapper of adityapk00 native libraries in Node.js, allowing me and everyone else to develop awesome projects with ease.

I have a bunch of ideas in mind, but at the moment I'm working on:

Easy to use Node.js libraries to work with adityapk00 zecwallet lite (direct in the code, no need to use the cli)
A Discord hotwallet for Zcash (As a Proof of Concept)
A discord server, where the messages are memos from an z address, similar to zecpages, but on discord (As a Proof of Concept)

And much more!

The Problem

As you may have figured out by now, I haven't created this page just to brag about how much a fan of Zcash I am. Even though I'm already programming and doing nice things for the Zcash community, it's getting harder to keep using this old piece of garbage computer that I have.

Just to give you an idea, what I have the moment:

A 14 year old CPU!

And last, but not least, my literally found on the garbage display:

As you can see, the code doesn't even fit on the screen, I have to keep scrolling horizontally to keep track of what I'm doing. This PC keeps on crashing, it's a nightmare to work on it!

The Solution

The solution is simple: I need a new PC!

But I cannot afford any upgrades on my own, that's why I came here, open-hearted, to ask you guys' help!

If you want to help a fellow programmer develop an easy to use Node.js library for working with adityapk00's zecwallet lite, please consider donating to my cause. I also want to keep creating art for the community, but blender (the 3d software I use) stopped working altogether. I have a few animations almost finished, just waiting to be rendered (one of them includes the famous Alibaba's Cave example of ZKP).

My intended setup

After some research, I ended up deciding my perfect setup would be as follows:

PC: Ryzen 3 3200g complete with PSU, ssd, ram, etc ...
Display: Samsung 19.5"
Keyboard: Basic rgb.

For a total of 460 USD or 2448 BRL

My old intented setup:

- Motherboard/Cpu: Ryzen 5 4500 - PSU: EVGA power supply 500 watts - Display: 24" wide screen full hd (since I'm visually impaired, a big screen will help a lot) - Misc: PC Case, keyboard, mouse, etc ... [Optional] - GPU: RTX2060 (for 3d modelling and rendering) That brings us to a total of (roughly) 636,00 USD without the graphics card, and (roughly) 915,00 USD with the graphics card. Or 3415,00 BRL and 4915,00 BRL respectively.

Wow, that's quite a fortune, I know ... But it would help me immensely to keep studying, developing and growing.

My goal
