Creada en el 2005 por Olga Oviol, sobreviviente del cáncer de mama, junto a un grupo de voluntarias decidieron formar Falcón Unido Contra el Cáncer de Mama con la finalidad de atender necesidades de mujeres y familiares afectados, y concientizar y educar sobre la importancia de la detección temprana del cáncer de mama.
MISIÓN
Incidir en la lucha contra el cáncer de mama mediante actividades de información y detección temprana; trabajo en red con grupos dedicados a la misma causa, así como orientación y apoyo emocional a pacientes y familiares.
El cáncer de mama es la primera causa de muerte por cáncer en la mujer Venezolana.
VISIÓN
Ser una organización reconocida nacional e internacionalmente por su impulso a la colaboración, la cooperación y el intercambio de experiencia entre las instituciones que luchan contra el cáncer de mama.
TRABAJO EN REDES
FUCCAM ha ido tejiendo con voluntarias y organizaciones dedicadas a las misma causa, una serie de alianzas a nivel nacional. Persiguiendo la integración de diversas iniciativas locales para construir una red con impacto en distintos segmentos de la población, especialmente en aquellos de bajos recursos.
Hoy en día contamos con grupos de voluntarios comprometidos en Falcón - Venezuela. Además de otras organizaciones en el estado,
y Caracas (Senosalud).
Nuestra fundacion desde sus comienzos esta enfocado al apoyo de esas mujeres que no tienen la capacidad monetaria para cubrir estudios especializados para el despistaje del Cancer de Mama que son extremadamente costosos y juntos dan un total que no todos pueden pagar, como una Mamografia, Ecos, Biopsia, laboratorios, Resonancias, Consultas con especialistas, etc. En Venezuela, los hospitales no estan en la condiciones de atender pacientes, no cuentan con muchos medicamentos oncologicos mas que todo los de alto costo, ni siquiera algo tan simple como un cateter, un equipo de infusion o una solucion fisiologica. Tenemos muchos pacientes en nuestra fundacion que por no tener acceso inmediato a su tratamiento, su cancer a avanzado y solo nos queda ayudarles a tener una mejor calidad de vida. Nosotros donamos estudios insumos, facilitamos la comunicacion Hospital-Paciente cuando debe optar por una cirugia y hay una larga lista de espera, y algunas veces donamos alimentacion.
Una paciente con Cancer de Mama cada 6 meses debe optar por un plan de despistaje que puede alcanzar los 500 dolares, cuando no son estudios especializados como por ejemplo un PEC SCAM que puede llegar a costar hasta 3.000 dolares.
A pesar de que este 2022, el trabajo fue mucho mas intenso la recaudacion disminuyo en comparacion a otros años y nos ha sido super dificil poder ayudar a todos. Nuestra meta ahora es revolucionar las redes sociales con el mesaje de concientizacion y empatia por los pacientes oncologicos, y llegar a esas personas que dentro de su corazon puedan aportar su granito de arena.

WORK IN NETWORKS
FUCCAM has been weaving with volunteers and organizations dedicated to the same cause, a series of alliances at the national level. Pursuing the integration of various local initiatives to build a network with an impact on different segments of the population, especially those with low resources.
Today we have groups of committed volunteers in Falcón - Venezuela. In addition to other organizations in the state,
and Caracas (Senosalud).
Fuccam since its inception is focused on supporting those women who do not have the monetary capacity to cover specialized studies for screening for Breast Cancer that are extremely expensive and together give a total that not everyone can afford, such as a Mammography , Echoes, Biopsy, laboratories, MRIs, Consultations with specialists, etc. In Venezuela, hospitals are not in a position to care for patients, they do not have many oncological drugs, especially high-cost ones, not even something as simple as a catheter, an infusion set, or a physiological solution. We have many patients in our foundation who, because they do not have immediate access to their treatment, their cancer has advanced and we can only help them to have a better quality of life. We donate studies supplies, we facilitate Hospital-Patient communication when you should opt for surgery and there is a long waiting list, and sometimes we donate food.
A patient with Breast Cancer every 6 months must opt for a screening plan that can reach 500 dollars, when they are not specialized studies such as a PEC SCAM that can cost up to 3,000 dollars.
Despite the fact that this 2022, the work was much more intense, the collection decreased compared to other years and it has been super difficult for us to help everyone. Our goal now is to revolutionize social networks with the message of awareness and empathy for cancer patients, and to reach those people who, within their hearts, can contribute their grain of sand.
