Yes, with this mythical phrase of Rocky I bring you this incredible news: The campaign has been a success!
As you well know, last Thursday I published a fundraising campaign to raise funds to acquire a new working computer, since the previous one had suffered serious damage to the integrated video chip and had become completely unusable.
In the campaign I detailed that I needed a computer to continue working on my projects and collaborating with the Zcash community. The goal was to raise an amount between $600 USD and $1600 USD, which was successfully achieved.
Thanks to donations from many members of the global Zcash community I was able to raise the amount of $1316 USD (42.43 ZEC) between Thursday July 6th and Friday July 7th.
The funds were used to purchase the following:
Laptop ($1036 USD)
- Brand and model: ASUS TUF F15 Gaming FX506HC
- CPU: i5 11th Gen (11400H - 2.70HZ / 2.70HZ)
- SSD: 500GB
- RAM: 16GB (Expandible hasta 32GB)
- Video card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 4GB
Monitor ($178 USD)
- Samsung: 22" FHD
Accessories:
- Keyboard + Mouse ($25 USD)
- HDMI cable ($12 USD)
- AA batteries (x2) ($4 USD)
- SSD: 500GB Crucial ($50 USD)
Transportation: ($15 USD)
TOTAL: $1320 USD
This equipment, as I mentioned before, will be used to continue collaborating actively with the Zcash community and, of course, to move forward with my projects, as is the case of Zcash Crusader.
I can only thank the members of the Zcash community, especially Yoditar, Roosevelt Gordones, Aura Brito, Edickson González, Robmar Enoe, Tecnopapapi, Papeles a color, Mayra, Yendira, Sheila, Zula, Brian and all the rest of the community in Spanish.
I must also thank Skylar, creator and founder of Free2Z who gave me his support from day 1 in the Zcash community and who during this mishap with my old laptop, was very attentive to everything that happened with the campaign and was very active in spreading the word in each of his spaces.
Of course, to Ryan and the guys from the ZFAV Club with whom I started to collaborate in the last weeks, and who have also supported me a lot by spreading the word in every corner of this campaign that now became a success.
This success is not mine, it belongs to the whole community. It is the demonstration that a united, sincere, honest and transparent community has a lot of power, and can help all those members who are really committed to improving the Zcash ecosystem with their knowledge and with that little bit of sand, that no matter how small it may be sometimes, it helps a lot to keep Zcash a very good project with a huge potential for the future.
