I think some people in the Zcash ecosystem already know who I am and know part of my work, but for those who don't know me yet, I'll give you a brief summary.
My name is Ender Arrieta, Venezuelan and computer engineer dedicated entirely to the world of pop culture. An inveterate lover of culture and technology, and of course, a geek who never stops learning every day. I currently work as a freelance web designer, writer for news sites and I have my own website called ViniloBlog.com where we try to cover everything that happens in the entertainment industry.
I love web design, comics, movies, music and technology, that's why, at the same time, I love writing about each of the areas in which I feel like a fish in water, and if you browse a little bit through my contents here at Free2Z you'll realize it.
Thanks to the passion I have for technology, in the month of May I decided to become an active member of the Zcash community where I was very well received by everyone. The Zcashers of the community in Spanish, have offered me all their support to learn everything I need to know about the ecosystem, as well as the different projects in which my knowledge could be useful to help and collaborate.
Fortunately I was able to participate as a translator through the ZecHub community, there I was able to contribute more than 8 translations to their Spanish Wiki. I also started to participate as a contributor to the Zcash website in Spanish where I have been able to publish several articles to promote the dissemination and adoption of this great project.
While I began to collaborate within the different areas of the Zcash ecosystem, I started a kind of series that I called Zcash Crusader, which tells the story of Zec, a young superhero who fights for privacy and financial freedom by confronting Fiat, the fearsome villain of this story. Thanks to this project, I have been able to meet different members of the community who have shared with me their ideas, congratulations, motivations and praise for the work I have been doing with this series of which I can confidently say that it has already given me several satisfactions.

I need new equipment to continue working!
It's no secret that living in Venezuela and needing high-tech equipment is an almost impossible task, due to the serious socio-economic problems the country is suffering. A nation where the minimum wage can't even buy a coffee, can't offer any kind of purchasing power to professionals who need good equipment to work with design, animation, music and much more.
That's why this time I have decided to create a fundraising campaign to acquire new equipment, but not before telling you the journey that has brought me here.
Last Wednesday July 5th, while I was collaborating in the re-branding of the Zcash Fundation AudioVisual Club, my laptop couldn't take it anymore and died. Unfortunately, the equipment suffered an internal damage in the integrated video chip, which caused the screen to display a grayish image forever.
I performed the relevant tests, thanks to a good friend who is an expert in electronics, which led us to the conclusion that the integrated video chip suffered irreversible damage. But so much was the damage that when testing with an auxiliary monitor through the HDMI port, this did not give us any sign of life either, on the contrary, on several occasions it showed us the screen in black and in others the same gray color. A real pity.
My laptop currently has the following requirements:

- Hard Disk: 500 GB
- RAM Memory: 6 GB
These are the conditions in which it is:
This equipment was with me since 2011-2012. It had already received physical maintenance several times. Even, a few weeks ago, it had been fitted with a couple of new memories, an SSD disk to replace the old HDD, and also the fan cooler was replaced along with a maintenance to the processor and its heatsink.
But, unfortunately, now the damage is in the integrated video chip, something that in Venezuela is almost impossible to change due to the lack of spare parts, and in case of changing it, it would be with a used spare part that does not give us any guarantee that it will work well in the long term.
What is the purpose of this campaign?
As I mentioned before, it is to acquire a totally new equipment, which will allow me to continue working as a web designer and writer, as well as to continue collaborating as an active member of the Zcash Spanish community and the Zcash Foundation AudioVisual Club, as well as in the different projects in which my knowledge is welcome within the Zcash community in general.
These are two options that would be ideal in the long term to continue working with a good performance:

These computers have high performance characteristics, which would be ideal for my work, plus they would meet the requirements needed for all types of projects, especially the project of my Zcash Crusader series that requires a major video and audio processing to generate all the audiovisual material needed for the series.
These laptops range in price from $600 USD to $1600 USD. I am not focused on a desktop computer, for now, because I am constantly moving and I prefer a compact but powerful computer for my work.
Currently, my purchasing power in Venezuela, does not allow me to buy a computer in that price range, that's why I turn to the community to try to raise the necessary funds to acquire a new work tool.
