Hello everyone its great to be here on free2z! Here is a little intro about my background and what I plan on doing here:

I have been involved in crypto since early 2014, started on the Bitcointalk forums when there was not much talk about crypto on Youtube or Twitter. I sold most of my Bitcoin for Ethereum in 2015 and the rest is history…It’s crazy how much things have changed over the years.

I still remember the first time I discovered Zcash, I’ll never forget it. I was in Maui, Hawaii with my parents. Hawaii is the most beautiful place on Earth in my opinion, still dream about it...Zcash had just started trading on Poloniex and other exchanges. I remember watching the price skyrocket past BTC ( I think to as much as 1 ZEC = 7 BTC at one point). After that got my attention I began to research Zcash and really study privacy. The big thing holding me back over the years from investing heavily into Zcash was the trusted set up. As of last year though with the integration of Halo2 Zcash was reborn in a sense. I never thought we would see a fully trustless ZEC this quickly, it was a distant dream for me. I have been watching ZEC development closely and lurking around the Zcash community for a long time…

Recently I made the big decision to sell all of my remaining altcoins including the little BTC I had left for Zcash because I truly believe in the vision this project is trying to work towards. I believe Zcash is the best as well as most accessible option the world has to protect themselves from whats about to come with CBDCs. This project is really the last hope we have to stop an Orwellian future. Bitcoin has failed at the vision of becoming a peer to peer cash system, and Zcash is the only project I see with potential to fill that void.

Now that the majority of my networth is in ZEC
I plan on documenting my lifestyle here and on YouTube / Twitter to explain what it’s like living off of Zcash. I try to avoid banks as much as I can and pay people with Zcash, but the truth is to really operate in this world you must use the banks in some way. For example to pay my rent I have to sell Zcash and pay my landlord as he doesn’t accept ZEC (yet). So once a month I sell some Zcash through a local broker (no KYC involved) for fiat and deposit that into his bank account. Other than that all of my expenses are food / transportation and for that I mostly use fiat cash (sometimes Zcash directly where I can).

This crypto lifestyle would not be as easy if I still lived in the USA unfortunately. I miss home, but have been forced to leave. I can’t sell my crypto easily without KYC for fiat in the US anymore. The days of localbitcoins are long gone. Not to mention I’m bared from participating in many things within the crypto world like derivatives trading. There are just way too many restrictions to live freely right now.

I am lucky to have found and be living in a place that has a very old and well establish crypto community with many enthusiasts. Being in the place I am in now allows me to withdraw fiat on demand from any ATM in the country using Zcash. So when I need to pay for things like rent or food and what not I can simply walk up to an ATM here and withdraw fiat cash. This lifestyle would not be possible in the states at the moment.

My mission is to share the knowledge I have about how to operate privately using Zcash. I want to educate as many people as I can about the value of privacy and how they can protect themselves from an Orwellian CBDC future using ZEC.

Stay tuned, I’ll post a link to my first YouTube video here where I will show you guys what city I am in and explain how I operate and the process I go through to convert ZEC into fiat.

Glad to be here and looking forward to sharing whatever knowledge I have with you all.
